The Second Japan-Hong Kong International Music Competition

The Japan Hong Kong Musicians Alliance (JHMA) was established in 2012 in Hong Kong to promote cultural exchange and mutual understanding among the young generation, beyond the boundary of nations and through different music events and educational activities in the Asian region. Last year, the JHMA held the "1st Japan-Hong Kong International Music Competition" in July, which helped to strengthen young people’s connection within the Asian regions, while at the same time allowed the young Asian youth to directly experience and rediscover Japanese culture. Japan has a strong influence to Asian countries in the field of classical music, in terms of both its experience and knowledge. Therefore, the biggest challenge of this competition is to foster the understanding and support to classical music in Hong Kong, which has been and will be the essential part of the development of Asia.

Organiser : Japan Hong Kong Musicians Alliance
Supported by   Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong
Date : Saturday 20 July, Sunday 21 July
