2017 Autumn Conferment of Decoration Dr. Stephen TAI Tak Fung

                 
     On 3rd November 2017, the Government of Japan announced the foreign recipients of the 2017 Autumn Imperial Decorations. Dr. Stephen TAI Tak Fung, Chairman of Four Seas Group, has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays in recognition of his remarkable contributions towards the promotion of Japanese food products in China.
                    Dr. TAI has been importing food products from Japan for as long as 46 years and his Four Seas Group has become the biggest Japanese food product supplier in Hong Kong, handling over 5,000 types of food products for more than 700 retail shops and restaurants. Hong Kong is the largest export destination for Japanese agriculture and fishery products, and Dr. TAI’s contribution is particularly significant. He had received the Minister’s Award for Overseas Promotion of Japanese Food from the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan in 2007.
     In addition, Dr. TAI’s achievements are also highly esteemed by various different sectors in Hong Kong. In 2010, Dr. TAI received, inter alia, the Gold Bauhinia Star from the HKSAR government for his great contributions to society.
