 Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE, Managing Director of Cho Ei Limited,
Awarded the Foreign Minister's Commendation for FY 2017
              
     Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE, Managing Director of Cho Ei Limited has been awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2017.
              
     In 1992, Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE had been engaged in setting up the Techno Centre Industrial Park in Shenzhen, which, inter alia, supported Japanese small to medium size enterprises (SMEs) to advance into mainland China. Afterwards, as its Chairman, Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE made great efforts in Techno Centre’s operation until 2005.
     After that, the SME Committee of the Hong Kong Japanese Chamber of Commerce & Industry was set up in May, 2007 in order to support the business activities of Japanese SMEs in Hong Kong and theire advance into Hong Kong. Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE assumed the office of chairman of the Committee and has continued to assist in the activities of Japanese SMEs for over 10 years, for example, by organising business exchanges with local economic groups and information exchanges with the Government of Hong Kong.
              
      The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awards for individuals and groups who have made outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and regions. There are 187 individuals and 45 groups who have been given awards this year, including Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE.
              
     The Foreign Minister’s Commendation Awards Ceremony for Mr. Satoshi KAWAZOE will be held later in Hong Kong.
