Dr. Kenmori YASUMOTO, Chief Executive Officer, Causeway Corner Ltd, Awarded the Foreign Minister's Commendation for FY 2018

              Dr. Kenmori YASUMOTO, Chief Executive Officer, Causeway Corner Ltd has been awarded the Foreign Minister’s Commendation for FY 2018.                  

After having started expanding his business overseas, Dr. Kenmori YASUMOTO established the “Kamenori Foundation INC.” in 2006 which was driven by his wish “to encourage people to come to like Japan, and to encourage them to grow to like Asia and Oceania more than before”. In order to foster cultural exchange among young people in the Asia and Oceania region, including Japan and Hong Kong, the Foundation has for years, put much effort in to implementing scholarship schemes and international exchange programmes, while promoting the study of the Japanese language, Japanese culture, as well as subsidizing private exchange among the youth. Besides, the “Yasumoto International Exchange Scholarship Scheme” was set up by Dr. YASUMOTO at the Chinese University of Hong Kong in 2006, providing financial aid to about 300 students every year and contributing to the promotion of mutual understanding between Japan and other foreign countries.

             The Foreign Minister’s Commendations are awards for individuals and groups who have made outstanding achievements in international fields, in order to acknowledge their contributions to the promotion of friendship between Japan and other countries and regions. Some 205 individuals and 49 groups have been awarded this year, including Dr. YASUMOTO.

              The Foreign Minister’s Commendation Awarding Ceremony for Dr. YASUMOTO will be held later in Hong Kong.
