Ikebana International Hong Kong Chapter awarded the Consul-General’s Commendation
 
The Consul-General’s Commendation presentation ceremony for Ikebana International Hong Kong Chapter was held on 30th July 2024 and the award was presented by Mr Kenichi OKADA, Ambassador, Consul-General of Japan.
 
The Consul-General’s Commendation is an award presented by Ambassadors/Consuls-General, in respective countries and regions, to individuals or groups who have contributed to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and foreign countries and regions.
 
Ikebana International Hong Kong Chapter, established in 1959, has made various efforts to promote the dissemination of the representative Japanese cultural art of ikebana (flower arranging) in Hong Kong over many years and has made a significant contribution to the promotion of Japanese cultural understanding in Hong Kong.
 
The Consul-General’s Commendation was presented to acknowledge Ikebana International Hong Kong Chapter’s significant achievements.
