Dr Liao Poon Huai Donald, CBE, OBE, JP awarded the Consul-General’s Commendation

The Consul-General’s Commendation presentation ceremony for Dr Liao Poon Huai Donald, CBE, OBE, JP was held on 29th July 2025 and the award was presented by Ambassador MIURA Jun, Consul-General of Japan in Hong Kong.

The Consul-General’s Commendation is an award presented by Ambassadors/Consul-General, in respective countries and regions, to individuals or groups who have contributed to the promotion of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and foreign countries and regions.

Dr Liao, former Secretary for District Administration in Hong Kong has greatly contributed to the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between Hong Kong and Japan including Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong.

The Consul-General’s Commendation was presented to acknowledge Dr Liao’s significant achievements.
