Condolence Message from Ambassador MIURA Jun, Consul-General

 
    Dr Liao Poon Huai Donald, who served as Secretary for District Administration and other important posts in the Hong Kong government, passed away on 12th March. Over many years, Dr. Liao made significant contributions to the deepening of mutual understanding and friendship between Japan and Hong Kong, and was awarded the “Consul-General’s Commendation” in 2025. On behalf of the Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong, we would like to pay tribute to Dr Liao's great achievements and express our heartfelt condolences. May he rest in peace.
