Reiwa 2 Spring Conferment of Decorations on Foreign Nationals Mr. OGINO Masaaki awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays

 
　　On 29 April 2020, the Government of Japan announced the recipients of the Reiwa 2 Spring Imperial Decorations. Mr. OGINO Masaaki has been awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Rays. Details are as follows.

• Major accomplishment: 　Contributed to promoting economic relationship between Japan and Hong Kong and the development of education of Japanese in Hong Kong
• Recipient’s name:　　　　Mr. OGINO Masaaki
• Career:                           Former Chairman of NPO Hong Kong Wakyokai Ltd.
                                        Chairman of FENIX GROUP HOLDINGS LTD.

　　Mr. OGINO has founded and developed "City Super", one of the largest Japanese supermarkets in Hong Kong. He contributed to the development of economic and cultural relations between Hong Kong-Japan by introduction and dissemination of Japanese foods to Hong Kong.

　　Mr. OGINO devoted to the establishment of NPO Hong Kong Wakyokai Ltd. After taking office as the Chairman in 2012, he led its operation and has also donated money privately. Through his support of many Japanese entrepreneurs both materially and mentally for many years based on his experience of launching a retail business and developing group companies in Hong Kong, Mr. OGINO has contributed greatly to the development of economic relationship between Japan and Hong Kong.
 
　　Furthermore, Mr. OGINO made efforts to open the Hong Kong Japanese Supplementary School (HKJSS). He contributed to the stable operation as President of the Board of Directors after the school had opened.
 
　　Mr. OGINO was awarded the Japanese Foreign Minister’s Commendations for the FY 2017.
