The Consulate-General of Japan in Hong Kong is recruiting one local staff member (Butler) to work at the Consul-General’s Residence. The job details and application procedures are as follows:
1. Date of Appointment: Expected to commence in early May 2026 (negotiable)
2. Number of Vacancies: 1
3. Qualifications:
(1) A minimum of five years’ experience in the service industry, such as hotels or food and beverage services (Experience as a butler will be an advantage).
(2) Experience in basic secretarial duties, including schedule management and general administrative work.
(3) Ability to work in English.
(4) Willingness to work overtime when required (Depending on operational needs, work may occasionally be required until around 23:00).
4. Employment Conditions:
(1) Salary: To be determined in accordance with the Consulate’s salary regulations.
(2) Working hours: Weekdays (excluding Saturdays, Sundays and Consulate holidays)
9:00-17:45 (Lunch break: 12:30-13:30).

The Consul-General’s Residence (The Peak)
