Regarding the relaxation of import restrictions towards Japanese food products to Hong Kong

     

1. The Government of the Hong Kong SAR has officially announced at 10:00a.m. (Japanese hour) on Friday, 20^th July, 2018 to inform that it has relaxed the import restrictions towards Japanese food products starting from Tuesday, 24^th July, 2018.
2. Consequently, out of the 5 prefectures where imports of vegetables, fruits, milk, milk beverages and dried milk to Hong Kong were suspended; this import suspension will be removed for 4 prefectures (Ibaragi, Tochigi, Gunma and Chiba) with the condition that the above-mentioned food products must be accompanied by radiation certificates issued by the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries (MAFF) of Japan, as well as valid exporter certificates issued by the MAFF.
